Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet: The epitome of luxury

We all have come across car lovers who are crazy for SUVs, but the fact remains same that if you want a car with a roof that can swing open when the sun comes out and is perfect for long drives during summers, you’ll need to look at something more traditional in size and shape.

The Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet is the perfect car for you. It uses the similar range of engines as the C-class saloon, and Coupé, offering manual or automatic gearboxes and the choice of rear-wheel drive or 4Matic four-wheel drive as well.

The C-Class Cabriolet is set with the 9-speed automatic transmission called 9GTRONIC. The car features nine forward gears; this automatic transmission takes efficiency and comfort to an entirely new level. The wider gear spread allows a reduction in engine speed. Performance remains excellent, while ride comfort is enhanced, and noise levels are brought down.

Mercedes holds the reputation for considering comfort as the critical factor while designing their cars. The Mercedes Benz C Class Cabriolet no exception when comfort is concerned. It is available with a fabric acoustic soft top in a choice of four colours, constructed of several layers of active insulating and damping materials designed to minimise the interior noise level.

The opening and closing of the high-quality upper fabric top is achievable up to a road speed of 50 km/h and takes only approx.20 seconds. The soft top mechanism functions fully automatically and is activated by pressing the lever cabriolet control cluster.

With adequate headroom, the cabriolet provides enough room for everyone in the car. However, the bottom line is, while legroom is tight it is just possible to carry four in a C-class Cabriolet. In the front, the C-class Cabriolet is spacious enough for two large adults to travel without the risk of bashing elbows, plus there are some useful storage spaces.

The most striking features of the C-class cabriolet are AirScarf and Aircap. It is the combination of a rail that is whirring up from the top of the windscreen and a wind deflector that pops up from behind the rear seats. It reduces the air noise in the cabin, letting the passengers have a normal conversation without shouting out the words.

AirScarf on the other hand gently blows nice warm air onto your neck to make going soft-topless in winters a bit more bearable. So if you are planning a long drive in Benz C Class Cabriolet in Delhi during winters, trust the ‘Airscarf’ heaters to keep you warm.

The safety features in C-class cabriolet include a multitude of airbags, LED headlights, and a system that will warn the driver if it is too close to the vehicle in front as well as boosting brake pressure if the brakes are then applied in an emergency situation.

According to an authorised dealer of Mercedes, Mercedes C Class Cabriolet in Delhi is priced at approx INR 60 lakh.
