The Mercedes Benz GLA 200 and it’s Features

The Mercedes Benz GLA 200 is a five-door subcompact luxury crossover SUV automobile and was designed to compete with the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. It comes in four different colours – Mountain Grey, Jupiter Red, Polar Silver and Cirrus White. Engine - It comes in two variants – petrol and diesel, like all other cars from Mercedes Benz. The Mercedes Benz GLA 200 diesel version has an output of 100 kW and gives a fuel efficiency of 17.9 km/l and has up to 300 Nm torque. The petrol variant also gives a power-packed performance and makes driving a pleasure as it has a 4-cylinder petrol engine with 1991 cc that gives a mileage of 13.7 km/l and up to 300 Nm torque.

It also comes with two sub-transmissions, each with its clutch and both enable smooth gear shifting without any interruptions in tractive power.

Lighting and roof - Made with high-quality materials, 12 colours extend a hand to the ambient light and offers a wealth of views, relevant to the mood. In addition to the luxurious interiors, there is also a panoramic sunroof that gives the car a bright and inviting vibe. The rear sunroof is fixed while the former can be slid open. In case of too much brightness, electric sunblinds can also slide and protect from the sun.

Attention assist and memory - The new feature in the Mercedes GLA in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities is that if it detects signs of the driver being drowsy or inattention, it automatically recommends taking a break. It also comes with a memory package with an electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function. This saves three individual settings for the seat position that can be recalled at any time, as more than one person might drive one car. 

Safety - During emergency braking, flashing brake LED lights help in avoiding rear-end collisions. The LED lights also offer vast luminous power to improve night time vision. The Mercedes Benz GLA 200 also comes with a warning sign everytime the tyre pressure is less, to avoid a flat tyre. There are also airbags for both drivers, as well as passengers and a reverse camera, to making parking hassle-free.
